This was a great deal, I picked up one with the coupon but wish I had bought several.  Right now you can get one for $59 with the PLAYFUL15 coupon, but I picked this one up from Amazon instead, appears to be same for $46.  Worst case it's Prime so I can return if it's junk.

Well unfortunately this one falls into the junk category... so it's going back.  It's not an exact copy, it's smaller, the bottom brackets are flimsy, and the metal is thinner.  I mean, it would probably work but I think I going to just pony up for another KastKing instead..

Thanks for the heads-up but they are being sold by a 3rd party seller which I am always leery of.

Stopped by local Academy today. Clearance prices don't seem to change like they use to. Some lures were marked clearance for $2.48, been watching them for a few weeks. Just for grins, grabbed one, walked over to the price scanner, came up 98c. Same thing on a rod, was 79, marked 59, scanner said $44. (didnt get it)

You never know, worth a shot if you see something you want, can't trust sticker on shelf...

Wait really? How did you find that out?

How in the world is a 3rd party selling through Wal-Mart's website?...

You are right they are, well that's kinda unsettling but we will see if they are legit or not I guess.

Just wanted to share some info.  Academy in stores and online has the H20 Express hard baits on sale 2 for $5.  Military can take another 10% off. I picked up about $140 in crankbaits for just under $50.  Now if I could just ever figure out how to get my tackle box organized so they will fit.

Walmart has their website (and their Jet.com site) set up kinda like Amazon, where some things are sold in stores, and they have a network of 3rd party sellers too.

Gee thanks! I got monkeyfied. Couldn't pass up some I use a lot for $2.50 ea. I'm not sending my CAC, SSN, or DD 214 to a "secure" site for a few dollars though.

What other sites have a similar sale before the 4th?

All the other major retailers are already having their July 4th sale (Cabela's, BPS, Dicks, etc). Dick's might have a flash sale, where they do 20% off an item or $20 off $100, but they usually exclude Shimano, Daiwa, Keitech...basically all the good fishing brands.

Ebay may have a similar $xx off $xxx, but it doesn't look like there will be another flat % off this quarter.

No doubt about sending your credentials.  I was standing in the store so I just had to show ID.  I use a lot of XD style cranks and I loaded up.

Seems like your only option at this point is to use some of those savings and a buy another tackle box. ?

Just to get the additional military discount.

The $23 Okuma rod rack is surprisingly the best rod rack I've used in terms of keeping rods in place, and that's including some of the large wooden retail racks.

Academy has all H2O hard baits for $2.50. With over $25 free shipping. I picked up a few topwater, jointed shad, jointed sunfish, and deep diving crank baits. I don't know anything about their H2O series. But at $2.50 a piece its worth a shot. But i do know Academy sure has a lot of my money with WarEagle on sale last week and now H2O as their Hot Deal at $2.50.

After reading your post I thought what would it hurt to go look at some H20 baits as I’ve had good experiences with them before. When I checked out the guy asked me if I was going on a long trip or stocking up. Once again the sales thread has helped me save money by spending money, like when my wife goes to Kohl’s.

I wouldn't be too surprised to learn that the H2O baits are made on the same line as the Strike King stuff.  Regardless, they run great, and have a lot of variety.  I just wish they would make their naming conventions something that made more sense.

Dang it! Pretty sure I accidentally bought a left hand Tatula SV 6.x from the auction site and wasted my code when I meant to purchase a right hand 8.3 and didn’t realize it until it was too late to cancel.
