I pulled the trigger on it even though I have a high bid on another. It says almost gone with 18 sold in the last hour. Thinking if it was a scam they wouldn’t have limited it to around 20 reels so I’m hoping it’s real.

SCAM!!! My Payment wouldn't go through so I called eBay and spoke to them about it and they checked and could tell that the listing has already been removed. Well, at least we know eBay has your back!!!

Yep, Ebay pulled the item.

We had to remove this listing from the site and you're not required to complete the transaction. If you've already sent payment, the sale should process as normal and you don't have anything to worry about. If you have any questions about delivery, please check tracking or contact your seller. If you run into any trouble along the way eBay is here to help. Please visit the Resolution Center to help resolve any problems you may encounter.

It's more likely that the seller pulled the item, not ebay. They killed the listing. He might have sold all the stock and wanted to erase the proof haha. The orders could still very likely go through.

I've seen this sort of thing before.. someone has some stock they either stole or acquired, and they need to liquidate quickly so they go WAY under MSRP to "dump it".. but then will toast the listing so they don't get caught by the distributor/manufacture.

eBay emailed me that it may be from a compromised account. I’ll wait a couple days if it doesn’t ship I’ll ask eBay for a refund

Unfortunately I got the same email. Sounds like that price was in fact too good to be true. Bummer....

It's the same thing that happen to me in the summer. If the deal looks too good to be true, its a scam. Most are doing what is called "chargeback scam" or using stolen credit card.

Interesting. I had this exact scenario 1 other time over 6 years of buying on eBay and eBay refunded my money the next day

Just a heads up, FFO (fishermans factory outlet) has their buy 1 get 1 50% off promo going.. which I think is the best one they do. Their current stock has actually has some good items. You can get two size 30 Pfluger Supreme XT's for $150 (basically BOGO). I have a size 30 XT and it's pretty awesome.

They also have a good selection of Veritas 2.0's and fenwich HMG spinning rods. I notice they have a 7' ML fenwick HMG for 60 bucks which would be a pretty good dropshot rod.

Dangit! American Legacy (on ebay) put up some new Daiwa Ballistic LT 2500's for 189... so $161 shipped with the 15% off code. Ok ya got me. They are going fast.

The XT is listed as a "hard to find item", for whatever reason, which means it doesn't qualify for the buy 1 get one 50% off deal, I've tried. No idea how a readily available reel is "hard to find", but apparently it is for them unfortunately.

It was cancelled by Ebay and the Paypal transaction was zero'd out.

Interesting, my Paypal transaction hasn't been cancelled. Still showing I sent $35 to the seller. I guess I should contact ebay to get a refund.

My Paypal transaction didn't even go through to begin with so i called eBay to find out what happened and they said the seller was having trouble with their Paypal account. I explained that this deal sounded to good to be true and the eBay representative dug a little deeper for me and found that the auction had been yanked and was under investigation for being fraudulent.

Lots of those questionable Tatulas still popping up from various sellers. The temptation is there despite knowing it's not legit lol

Just another heads up to check the Wal Mart clearance aisle. (I found these on the almost opposite end from the sporting goods section) I picked up a bunch of Berkely square bill and "wild thang" crankbaits for $1.50 each. I've never used them and don't know if they're any good  but for that price I couldn't resist.

The WT's have a very big wobble, and my experience was throwing a 6.5 and an 8.5.  They must displace a lot of water with that movement.

I had trouble with the 8.5 on a 6.4:1 reel - especially when my front-seater was on the trolling motor, it seemed like it was just too fast for the bait and it would "loop" itself out, invert and - pop- strait up to the top.  I didn't have any 5-speed reels with me that day, but I plan on trying it again soon on a slower reel, if nothing else just to rule it out and get it out of my crankbait tray.

Dicks is having a flash sale today - not much really to look at.  While I haven't seen an Easter discount from Tackle Warehouse, Ebay and another site are running coupons.

My order was canceled too. Any my Paypal payment was canceled. I sent the seller an email but did not hear back. Oh well, I tried but at least nothing was lost.

Yeah, most likely the seller knew nothing about it.

I've had that happen to my account before - all of a sudden I started getting emails that people had bought something I had for sale, but I hadn't listed anything for sale.  I contacted Ebay and they killed it and made me go through some kind of training thing about keeping my login info safe before they would set my account back to active.

Who knew that "password1234" wasn't a safe password?  :-)

Not yet. eBay said the item may still ship as usual and if you do not receive it to file a complaint. I believe the estimated delivery for me was next Wednesday so I’m gonna wait till Wednesday to confirm wether or not it’s coming then I’ll ask for a refund if it doesn’t (seems likely it will not come)

Same here, also SK tungsten, mixed rapalas, and rat l traps for a dollar.  Gamakatsu for 75 cents.  Spent 20 and walked out with 2 shopping bags.  IDK why Walmart does this every year but every year I clean them out.  Only thing I've ever gotten burned on was $3 spools of spiderwire line that was probably the worst line I've ever used.

To all you guys that bought tats and didn't get them don't feel bad, last year I bought a met DC for 100 and basically went through the same thing.  Oh well didn't cost a thing.
