I ended up getting one of those 7'6 MH Veritas 2.0 for $32. 

 

I seriously don't need it but that's practically giving it away.

Me too ?.  Plus I added the 7' MH spinning Veritas ($32) and lefty Revo S ($49).   

Its crazy how 2 years ago when I recommitted myself to fishing, I started with 1 15 year old Ugly Stick, and now I've got 10+ rods....

Yup Digitaka has free shipping on all their reels.  Took a week to ship from Japan.

Same. 3 years ago my parents sent me to college with 1 rod & reel, now I've got over a dozen... and none of em are cheap ??

I'm a cheap sob, so all my rods are cheap (under $50), but they all catch fish!  Same with reels - in the past couple months I picked up couple BPS PQs @$50, couple Daiwa Excelers also @$50. Now the Revo S...  also at $50.   I think I see a trend forming???.

Thanks.  I followed your lead and dove in and ordered two as well.  I know in a year I'll want some of their latest (Gen4's) but the prices are fantastic and I've been happy with my REVO STX3.

I was torn between one curado or saving some money and getting the STX3, then saw the deal and figured two would be better than one.  Never used one before, can you give a brief review and some tips for me so I know what to expect? Thanks!

WIN! I don't know why that extra day for USPS annoys me so much.

I was struggling to find the strength to not pick up the Orra Winch at that ridiculous price since it gets such great reviews on here, so my wife thanks them for the increase in sales pricing. So, when is the next l.b.f sale? :D

Cabela's has the St. Croix Triumph at 50% off.  Casting rod only one model - 7' 1-piece Heavy; spinning rod only one model 5' 1-piece UL.  I don't need any more trout rods but dang...

I bought 2 of the OrraSX combos in 6.4:1 recently - no they don't cast as nice as my Tatula, but they're not bad at all. bought my most recent one at Sam's club - $104 for the reel w/ a 7' MH/F micro-guide rod.

I'm guessing this was more of a "flash sale" scenario where they wanted to blow out some extra stock, without putting their normal sales channels/partners in too much of a bad spot.  I was on the fence about picking up a reel, then I saw it pop up on  Slickdeals' front page, and I knew it was done for. Some of those folks will buy a "deal" even if they have no use for the item.

Mike's Rxbaits located in Michigan is advertising a 30% off sale using the discount code Mike30.  I snagged a bunch of Roboworms and some Erie Darters.  They have a lot of stuff.  Check them out online just look up Mike's Rxbaits.  They have Megabass, Lucky Craft, Duo Realis, Jackall and other high end brands.  I didn't see any mention of exclusions.  

 

**Update- I just tried the code on a Megbass 110 +1 and it works. You just have to pick out enough stuff to get the free shipping ;)

Half of the stuff I was trying to buy said it was in stock until I added to my cart, kind of ticked me off so I ended up not buying anything. Probably was for the best...

I have this rod.  It is more on the L side of things and is very very soft.  That being said, it handled this guy;

Well, sure, tiny 1/16 to 1/8oz ones.
