Connorwat Posted May 23, 2016 Posted May 23, 2016 I will be pairing this Rod with a Lews Tournament MB. I want a Rod that is versatile and will throw most baits. And I do want split grips on it. Probably will get medium to medium heavy. Thx 1 Quote
jtharris3 Posted May 23, 2016 Posted May 23, 2016 The Diawa Aird or Procyon rods are real nice. Quote
Fisher-O-men Posted May 23, 2016 Posted May 23, 2016 Check out FFO. Good rods and very reasonable shipping on one-piece rods. Quote

Don't know the cut-off point, but I paid shipping on a $58.88 rod while a $75 rod didn't require an additional shipping fee. Quote
lakeannaangler Posted May 23, 2016 Posted May 23, 2016 Berkley shock or abu garcia veritas on ebay Quote
Hawkeye21 Posted May 23, 2016 Posted May 23, 2016 I've had two Berkley Lightning Rod Shock rods and both broke off about 6" of the tip. I still use the one since it broke right at the eye but it still ticked me off. Not sure if they have that tendency or if it's just my luck. I really like the rods overall otherwise. Quote
Super User Catt Posted May 23, 2016 Super User Posted May 23, 2016 Academy H2O, AllStar, CastAway, Lew's are all good rods in that price range. Quote
Super User Jar11591 Posted May 24, 2016 Super User Posted May 24, 2016 Fenwick Eagle. Fishes well above its price point IMO. Quote
