I will be pairing this Rod with a Lews Tournament MB.  I want a Rod that is versatile and will throw most baits. And I do want split grips on it.  Probably will get medium to medium heavy.:rolleyes: Thx

Don't know the cut-off point, but I paid shipping on a $58.88 rod while a $75 rod didn't require an additional shipping fee.

I've had two Berkley Lightning Rod Shock rods and both broke off about 6" of the tip.  I still use the one since it broke right at the eye but it still ticked me off.  Not sure if they have that tendency or if it's just my luck.  I really like the rods overall otherwise.

Academy H2O, AllStar, CastAway, Lew's are all good rods in that price range.

Fenwick Eagle. Fishes well above its price point IMO.
