I did lose a big one, so that made the day worse, but I didn't get skunked...

Had the same problem yesterday except my one fish was probably 7 ounces. I also lost about 6 jigs. Tough days are all part of the sport though.

I went yesterday for a short stay and I did get skunked. I had 3 on and lost all three before getting them in the boat. Losing three well hooked in a row hasn't happened to me for as long as I can remember. One jumped and spit it, one was in a tree branch in the water and as I pulled the limb in he removed himself. And the third just spit it out after about 10 feet of fight. Bad days happen but I'm going back after lunch today to make amends.

It's been tough lately for me too.  Oh well.  I guess that's why they don't call it "catching".

At at least the view is nice, the beer is cold, the seats are comfy and I get to mess with fishing gear in peace haha

Yup, beats a skunk any day of the week!

I'd have loved to catch that over a skunked
outing :)

At least you can say that you caught a bass.

A day on the water beats a day at the office.

There were allot of beds with spawners, but even standing to scout on the kayak I couldn't get a good view so by the time I saw them they saw me.  There were some biggns'. Actually the one I lost was on a bed I returned to after I made a mental note of  where it was located. This was the only way for me to have a chance at them by returning and casting from out of view.
