Lendiesel22 Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 I am taking a trip down this upcoming weekend to get a feel for the river and 1 more trip closer to the 25th of next month to prefish. I have never been on this river so its a clean slate. Anyone know the river? I am primarily concerned navigation hazards 1st, any bass info would be helpful as well. I hear it has stump fields, pads, and cypress trees. Cant wait to run around it a bit. Quote
Super User fishnkamp Posted June 7, 2016 Super User Posted June 7, 2016 I used to launch and camp at Shad Landing State Park. It was a great place to do both. There are cypress knees ( root balls of cypress trees) that the bass will get on as well as grass and lily pads fields. Navigation was not bad as I remember. Go to the Angling Technologies website, click on "interactive map" then x out the payment box. Now just zooom in on the lower eastern shore with your mouse. The rest is pretty much self explanitory. Enjoy its a nice river. 1 Quote
