Welcome aboard!

Can't help you with Pflueger reels, but
there are a lot of folks here that can.

Good luck.

I have many hours of fishing on a couple of President spinning reels I have had for years. They sell new for $60ish and are a great value. I can't speak for the baitcasting reels.

I've had a couple Trion baitcast reels.  Still have one.  Gave one to a deserving young guy.  He really liked it.  I personally don't think they do light baits very well although there have been a couple on here who would disagree with me.  Not light and not pretty.  However...........the Trion I have left is on a 6'10" HF and is a casting machine with the weights suitable for that rod.  It was a backlashing machine on a Medium rod throwing weightless worms with a light braid spooled.  Hasn't backlashed once since spooling 17# mono and switching to the HF rod.

The Patriarch XT is a highly under-rated reel in my book.  I've got 2 of the older blue ones.  Nice looking.  Fairly light, and cast about any weight quite well.  I must admit I don't fish the very light lures with one, but they do an excellent job with a 10" ribbontail and a bare 3/0 hook.

I have a President XT spinning reel.  Can't say much about it other than to say it is a very nice looking reel, and seems to be quite smooth.  Can't say much because I seldom take a spinning reel with me.  Plan on changing that this year.

I have 2 of the older president spinning models that are from the 6700 series with the wooden knob (6900 is what's sold now), both of them are still going strong with pretty decent use.  One of them had a piece inside the spool break, back then they came with a spare spool so I never missed any fishing while I sent it back.  They cast excellent and have a very smooth drag, I've caught everything from crappie to catfish to hybrid stripers and they've handled them all with ease.  I have a old supreme baitcaster, I don't use it much since I'm still not that good with baitcasters so can't comment on it much.
