Super User tcbass Posted May 21, 2016 Super User Posted May 21, 2016 As the title says, isn't TW Memorial Day sale supposed to be going on now? And I saw something about using a 10% coupon to get that plus the 15% Memorial sale but didn't see any coupons at 10%. Anyone knows how this works? Quote
Super User smalljaw67 Posted May 21, 2016 Super User Posted May 21, 2016 If you subscribed to TW they will send you an email when they are having their sales. In the past TW doesn't have their memorial day sale until a few days before, I'm guessing the 27 through the 30th but it may be longer or shorter but who knows. Cabela's, BPS, Gander Mtn, and all the other stores have started or will start their sales early but TW doesn't do this, so just have some patience and it will happen soon enough. Quote
lakeannaangler Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 Last year i believe it started on the 26 and ended on the 30 at midnight Quote
Super User Jrob78 Posted May 22, 2016 Super User Posted May 22, 2016 Memorial day is still over a week away. 6 Quote

Hopefully it won't exclude the brand your trying to buy, Ive tried to do the same for a reel but they exclude Daiwa every year it seems. Quote

Well I switched to powell rods last year and so far they are always on sale everytime tw does a sale, but man I feel sorry for the daiwa and shimano guys tw never has those on sale but I think it's a manufacturer thing. The extra 10% off is done by buying gift cards at 10% off during TW's Christmas sale! 1 Quote

Very cool thanks for the info! So I assume you have to order over the phone. 1 Quote

Ive bought Shimano Cumara as well 20% off You will see a small disclaimer that tells you to call for discounts that they can publicize, when they don't have that little disclaimer and you see exact brands that are excluded then they are excluded. I was told to call and they told me that certain brands cannot be listed on sale but you can call and get sale pricing but anytime you see a sale and under the sale there are specific brands excluded, they are excluded for call-ins as well, so if you don't see the "call for discounts" disclaimer, any brand listed as excluded is excluded. It sounds confusing but it isn't, and the sale I called about was the tax stimulus sale in mid April, they had a big list of exclusions and when I called I got the info and they had no sale for any of those item s on the list. That is when they told me to look for the disclaimer, if you don't see it don't call. 1 Quote
JigMaster4 Posted May 23, 2016 Posted May 23, 2016 I have been waiting several weeks to purchase a new rod and reel but couldn't knowing this sale was going on. Oh well, gives me an excuse to stock up on some baits as I will have to if they are on sale!? Quote

I did exactly that -- bought a $200 gift card at Xmas expecting to put all all or most of it toward a rod at memorial day. I then almost immediately blew $50 of it on other stuff. Still, with 15% off, 150 will get me most of the way there. Quote
