Buffdaddy54 Posted May 19, 2016 Posted May 19, 2016 For the first time in 22 years I now have not one but 2 car payments? In the last 2 months both of our late model car gave up the ghost. One due to a timing chain brake which in turn bent valves and the other needed more repairs then the car was worth. Hard to go back to payments when I didn't have any for so long. Sorry bait monkey, looks like you will have to bother someone else. Just kidding bait monkey, see you soon and often?? Quote
Super User Jar11591 Posted May 19, 2016 Super User Posted May 19, 2016 The bait monkey cares not what other expenses you may have. He WILL get his! 1 Quote
Super User Ratherbfishing Posted May 19, 2016 Super User Posted May 19, 2016 Had the timing belt (and the water pump) on my old high mileage Civic changed to avoid your experience. I still have 1 car payment and that's bad enough. ...and the bait monkey will NOT be ignored. Quote

Super User Raul Posted May 20, 2016 Super User Posted May 20, 2016 ...... and stil, The BaitMonkey continues to rule supreme in the hearts, minds and wallets. Ya´ll fellas ain´t gonna believe it but it´s been a couple of YEARS ( yes you read right ) since I purchased a bait/reel/rod, that don´t mean I have saved the money I used to spend in tackle, it only means I haven´t spent it in tackle, have found that The Baitmonkey likes video games and TV series/ movies, since we can´t go feeshin and gotta stay home we do have a lot to play and watch, hell, even upgraded from 29" CRT TV to a 32" screen and then to 43" screen + DVD player + BD player in those two years, didn´t get a 55"+ screen cuz ..... well don´t have enough room to put it . nick76 Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 I am afraid that this is coming for me. My vehicle is almost 14 years old and it starting to show the wear and tear or driving, while i just paid off my wife's vehicle this week. Also paid off that pesky second mortgage this week. Now to have one credit card paid off and the other cut down significantly by the end of the year....that leaves me feeling better about a new car payment if needed. That economic collapse in '08 about killed me. We had just bought our business for prime dollar and I don't ever want to be that far in the hole again where I am that thin on paying my bills. Quote
Super User Raider Nation Fisher Posted May 23, 2016 Super User Posted May 23, 2016 Until yall have met the Harley monkey. None of the bait monkeys cousins come close to the Harley monkey. Especially the extremely evil bike building monkey. That's the Harley monkeys much more expensive and evil younger brother. The bike comes before all else. Nothing is more important than the bike. Except for child support. Child support trumps the bike. Which is why I'm searching for a new bike. LOL. Quote
