Bwahahahahahaaaaaaa!!! http://www.trucktrend.com/features/1602-the-million-mile-2007-toyota-tundra/ After he drove his Tundra for 1 million plus miles, he was given a brand new one by Toyota so they can dissect his truck to try to make their trucks even more dependable. Closest thing I have to a picture of my truck. I've done oil changes and put new brakes, rotors, and tires on this fall. She's about to turn 100K in June most likely. All it has to do is top that and it will have done better than my F 150 I had last. 1 Quote
Super User BassinLou Posted May 26, 2016 Super User Posted May 26, 2016 I love my Toyotas... my 2000 Tundra has 110K miles and going strong, and my 08 Highlander has 135K and still smooth as can be. Great cars!! Quote
Super User fishwizzard Posted May 27, 2016 Super User Posted May 27, 2016 I have been lusting after an older (one of the small ones) Tacoma for years, but have never been able to stomach what people want for them. I know they are the best light duty trucks ever made and hold their value very well, but I would see CL adds like this; "For Sale, 95 Tacoma, 4x4, some rust, no engine, raccoons living in cab. $10k obo, raccoons very friendly" and give up for a while. Then I see a nice one on the road and start looking all over again. Quote

The T100s are dirt cheap too. Assuming there is a difference between it and the Tacoma. I'm not entirely sure there is. I'm finding anywhere from 1500 to 4500. I've actually been contemplating buying one for a work/play truck. Quote

On the used market the Nissan is wayyyy cheaper. Yet they last as long it seems. I love mine. I'm improving it everyday 1 Quote

My stepmom had 2 of them, and both were trouble vehicles. First one was bought used and second was bought new. She jumped across to a 4 runner in 2004, rolled over 200k on it last I heard and has done nothing but routine maintenance. Quote

I had a 1st generation SE-R Sentra I drove as a car stereo mfg's factory rep and auto-crossed in SCCA club racing that I traded for my '99 Tacoma. It had 164K on it with the ORIGINAL CLUTCH. The boss, err, wife, had a '88 2-door Pathfinder that she traded for her 4-Runner in '01. It had 150K on it. The only problem over 300+K miles was a power steering pump, covered under warranty, in my SE-R. 1 Quote

At 275,000mi it wouldn't pass the emissions test and was going to cost more to replace the 4 catalytic converters than the truck was worth. Don't recall any other mechanical issues with the truck. Had some electrical issues with the power windows. The motor still ran strong although it leaked a bit of oil. 1 Quote
