Darn blades won't hold an edge long because the metal is so soft, but it won't rust either. So I have to resharpen it often (both the knife and the scissors). But I don't mind. I keep that thing on my keychain and use it frequently throughout the day, not just for fishing. Best of all, if I accidentally bring it with me to a security checkpoint, I can just toss it in the trash and buy a new one. Its best qualities are that it's cheap enough not to get attached to and small enough not to be noticed. Quote

Susky River Rat Posted February 10, 2023 Posted February 10, 2023 I just use the cheap rapala scissors from Walmart. Just pull the braid tight. Quote
padlin Posted February 10, 2023 Posted February 10, 2023 Boomerang snips on the boat, a big pair of the Cuda scissors on the bench. Had the small Cudas before, after a year or so part of the blades wouldn’t cut braid, had to remember to use other parts. Quote

In the meantime, I use hemocuts. You can find them in most fly shops. Lost mine....had to re-appropriate my wife's pair. So very disappointed that these no longer exist. Would love another...or two. A small pair of stainless scissors has been a much better solution for me. I think the ones I use were designed for fingernails. Quote
