Went back to the place where i lost a big one last weekend with a buddy.  We launched the kayaks yesterday morning around 6AM and it was cold and windy (i know this is a relative term) but for Georgia, it was COLD and WINDY!!  I tried to get some action on the buzzbait/spinnerbait on the edges of the pads, but nothing going there.  I could see and hear some topwater activity in the thick of the pads though.  i opted to pull out my brand spanking new spro frog and put it to work in the pads.  After about 30 minutes of that i saw some activity near a nice little open pocket so i worked my frog through there a couple times, nothing.  Tossed a weightless t rig senko in there and saw a swirl, but no strike.  So threw the frog in there again and CRASH-BANG-SLURP!  Hookeset away and she went straight for the pads.... after a little tangle with her in the pads, i pulled her up and realized it was a little bigger than i thought it was at first!  Right at 22", but no weight on her (see my other thread about needing scales after losing mine last week).  Only caught 1 more dink all day, but this fatty had my spirits high all day!

Nice fish! I'd much rather catch one big one instead of a bunch of little ones.

Nice fish!  It really swallowed that frog.  When it decided to slurp it wasn't kidding around.

Awesome catch!   Did you get the frog out of it OK?  It is a sewer cap of a mouth, but that bait is deep!
