Wondering if there are any orochi owners out there and what you think of this rod.  I will probably be pitchin Texas rigs into timber.  This rod is very high in my price range wondering if there is any other better alternatives.  I have the same model in the Levante and like it and when I felt the orochi it was much lighter and seemed more sensitive.  How does the rod compare in terms of sensitivity compared to a loomis rod?  Any thoughts are appreciated.

I have other xx models and they are some of my favorite rods in my arsenal.  They aren't as sensitive as my nrx893, but they aren't in the same price range.  I don't have any glx but I've heard they are comparable in sensitivity.  They are in the same price range as the imx, but heard they are more sensitive.  It's all opinion anyway.  I'll bet you will be happy with it.  Be careful because you're going to want more.

I have a glx, imx, orochi xx, and some avids. I prefer the orochi xx over all the rods, with the glx in second, I strongly prefer the avid over the imx. I bought the emtf for t-rigs and smaller jigs and I love it, it's my favorite rod out of all of them

Comparing the same stick through the two different lines isn't exactly apples to apples. The Levante TV is a fast action rod where as the XX version is labeled as a more moderate action. Now just to prove that you can't judge a book by its cover, I was pitching a 3/8oz jig with it and it felt like a fast and did the job extremely well. I'm going to throw some heavier bladed jigs on it and see how it handles.
