I bought a couple lunker frogs last week. I feel like i might be fishing it wrong. I ve been fishing it like every other frog but im not getting any hits on it. But i get hits on my other ones. Is there a different way i should be fishing it?

If it is the Lunker Hunt frog, I have the same problem, just no hits. Plus, I didn't care much for the action either. I ebayed the ones I bought.

I had a buddy absolutely crush the fish on one of these one day so we both went and bought 3....1 year later and we haven't caught a single fish on them since.

There's a guy on here who will feel the need to "correct" me on this. But when i first used one, the frog bite was happening. I got a couple bites right off the bat but missed them, then the thing started filling with water on every cast. It was like dragging a sandwich bag through the water. I would squeeze it out after every cast. I mentioned it on their YouTube video and got a reply from the company that I should superglue the nose but I know that's not going to last. How often do you catch one and the frog slides up the line? Plus I hear the legs come off easily.

I tied on the Pad Crasher and never looked back. I actually bought the Pocket Frog too and have never tried it.

Well...that settles it. Ill put it in the dead lure box or hang it on my rearview in the truck. Thanks for the help. I got them thinkin "thats a pretty real lookin frog! I bet they'll hit it like a train!" just to find out that the train doesnt stop at this station.

I agree with most of these posts. i got one in a MTB and it took on water right away. I'll stick with Booyahs

If you lose the legs (Which I seem to lose after 1-3 strikes) I replace them with skirts or rabbit fur and then they actually have a much better hook up ratio, land right side up since I put some weight on the hook shanks, and the frog actually has a pretty good looking action with skirts instead of legs..

It has hooks that are super tight to the body but high, good quality and soft body, and they do have some nice colors and I like that small size for light line etc...I do not like the Combat version but like the Pocket size......Great for spinning tackle and pressured fish...

Some people love that frog, I guess it has it's time but I just can't rationalize throwing it as it is since a Booyah frog is cheaper and pound for pound one of the best frog lures you can buy...Just my opinion...Hard to beat a Pad Crusher when on sale for $4 each....

Got a buddy that loves them and is successful with them.  He doesn't mind that the logs are gone after 2 or 3 fish.  I'll stick to my Scumfrogs and Pad Crashers
