So I have a Lowrance unit on my kayak, and I recently Haven't been able to fully connect/turn the cable to the unit. So the prongs go in but then the piece that turns and locks it in place isn't turning and locking down all the way. Any tips to fix this? Should I not be out in the rain while this is happening?

My prongs got bent and it took me like 2 days to finally get it connected again; now I just leave it hooked up at all times because I'm not chancing it again.  I've got the Elite 5 and the 5 prong system is pretty crappy if you ask me.

Are you sure the prong is fully inserted before you start to screw it in?

@bassh8er I believe it is i push it in as far as it goes, and the little red washer thats on the female end is flush with the male end. Its the piece of the female side that spins that doesn't want to go in all the way. My unit still works just fine so I'm assuming all the prongs are connecting right.

They can be tough. Take a small piece of cloth and wet it with a thicker oil then wipe the outside of the male "threads".
