not sure who you're speaking of, but seems as though BR doesn't care for them given the stars (***)

FYI:

http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/guidelines/

Why does the site or product name I posted show up as "another site" or as ***?
First it has nothing to do with competition. In most cases, it has something to do with the points above - site owners not abiding by the rules of the forum, or over-zealous pro-staffers spamming the forums. In some cases, however, the site owner specifically requested that we do not link to their site.

If your post contains ***, then that means you may not discuss that brand here.  Your post will likely be deleted, and you may get banned (see the next paragraph below).

Is there a list of unmentionable sites so people know what not to try to post?  It would be nice to know what not to post before actually posting it.

Not that I know of, but perhaps a Moderator can
give us more on that.

I was wondering the same thing. It doesn't say which brands are off limits which would be good to know so I don't post them lol

Nope, no list.  But to clarify, an accidental trip in to *** territory doesn't automatically result in a ban.  It's when people deliberately try to promote those brands that lands them into trouble. Same as always with any and all of our rules designed to eliminate spam on the forums.  It's nothing different.  It's just that some companies are slow to understand the "no spam" concept, hence the ***.
