Vlad Val Yevdash Posted May 9, 2016 Posted May 9, 2016 Im looking for a really sensitive casting rod between $100 and $200 for bottom contact baits. Quote
Super User Darren. Posted May 9, 2016 Super User Posted May 9, 2016 Very difficult to qualify "most sensitive", as it is a subjective thing. I find my Carbonlites "sensitive", but not as much as my Legend Tournament. My Avid was somewhere in between, and my Premiere below the CL... This is just me and the way these rods feel in my hands. I also think braid mainline *really* helps the sensitivity issue. Quote
Super User Raul Posted May 9, 2016 Super User Posted May 9, 2016 You can´t measure perception because it´s an individual thing so you are not going to find the "most sensitive" rod in any price range, then it becomes a matter of opinion, opinions are like belly buttons, everybody has one. 1 Quote
Fishin' Fool Posted May 9, 2016 Posted May 9, 2016 If you're trying to decide between Loomis and Croix at that price point you're better off with the Avid X. 1 Quote
Hogsticker Posted May 9, 2016 Posted May 9, 2016 My suggestion. Being sensitivity is indeed subjective, look for a rod built on a blank from a proven blank building company. Kistler klx uses Gary Loomis North Fork Composites, St Croix makes great blanks and the SC3s fish above average imo, Alx Zolo B uses Hydra blanks and these are really good, Castaway V2 rods use Rainshadow Revelation blanks, Power Tackle Keith Combs rods also use Rainshadow blanks, and then there is always Phenix.
