For those that like to wacky rig with casting rods and heavy line here are my HD wacky jigs. The ones in the picture are 3/16oz  with a 1/0 hook but they come in 1/8oz, 3/16oz and 1/4oz and use either a size 1 or 1/0 Owner 5304 deep throat jig hook. The wire weed guard is made from braided wire and much bigger than normal thin wire found of other types of wacky jigs. I just finished making these for my an a friend for those days we have to finesse but going to do it with larger baits and heavier gear in grass and brush so I wanted to make sure we had a good hook to handle the heavier casting tackle.

They look really good!

Do they make a football head mold for
wacky jigs? I was considering making
some myself. Buckeye makes my fav
wacky jig, but they're pricey for a pack
of 3.

Just curious....

HD wacky jigs.... Excellent!  Good hook choice too.

If you should have any extra's,  I have some printed paper with pictures of dead Presidents on them if you'd be of a mind to trade.

Yup. Those will get bass out of heavy cover.

@smalljaw67 what wire are you using for your weedguards? I need something to use for my weedless Ned Rig heads and I was thinking of using 7 strand leader material but I'm afraid it will unravel quickly.

Surflon 7 strand, if you get it uncoated you just head the end up and dip it in powder paint, that will seal it and keep it from coming undone.

Those hooks are crazy sharp and I will have to try them now that I know they are made in smaller sizes.

Allen, I have to buy the size 1 directly from Owner, the 1/0 I can get from LPO at a better price,

I am going to have to try some of the 1/0 for a different experiment I have going.
