Jeff Browning Posted May 7, 2016 Posted May 7, 2016 I have a 1199 HD SI up front, an 899 HD SI in back, and the transom mounted 360 unit. When I select 360 in the front of the boat, I get what look like spokes on the display. The only time this doesn't happen is when both units are on 360 view. I usually have the console unit on 2d and map, while the front unit, where I fish, gets all the work switching between displays. I looked at the HB site and they talk about two units and one transducer. I have a separate HDSI transducer for each unit and in the networking menu each is assigned to their own unit. Anyone else experience this? What was the remedy? I searched "360" and "humminbird" in the forums before posting this. If it's a duplicate of someone else's post; I'm sorry. Jeff Quote
Super User Wayne P. Posted May 7, 2016 Super User Posted May 7, 2016 The 360 uses 455 kHz. The two Side Imaging units also use 455 kHz typically. The unit that has the 360 View displayed turns off SI/DI. The other unit still is broadcasting SI/DI so they are cross-talking. The view you have selected does not turn off the other sonar functions. When you have 2D/Chart displayed the Imaging pulse is still being broadcast. To stop that, select one of the transducers as the source for Advanced and Sonar in the Ethernet menu of both units. This is cross-talk from another 360 unit: 1 Quote
Jeff Browning Posted May 7, 2016 Author Posted May 7, 2016 If I select the 360, or one of the transducers as the source, will the unit still use the transducer when the 360 is retracted? When i get into shallow water or fish the Beaver River, up by the dam, I retract it so that I don't bounce it off a rock. Does the system automatically switch back to the normal transducer when the 360 is stowed? The transom transducer us all I'd be using when scouting. Quote

When you select SI or DI the 360 is not used, the unit uses the connected transducer. That is if you are not using 360 for SI and DI. You will see SI or DI start a fresh screen since they were off and there is no recorded history. I am not familiar with all the functions of the transom model. The sonar functions for the trolling motor and transom versions are the same. The deploy system is different. Quote
