Does anyone here use a GPS on lakes that are not found on things such as hotmaps etc?  I live near a lake thats not gonna be on those types of programs.  Would there be any advantage to me in getting GPS?  Would you still be able to mark places on your lake or would it even show up?  Just wondering if it was worth me getting or not $$$

Get a portable megellan gps system that you can mount on your boat. They have all the lakes on them but just not as detailed as hotmaps. It really helps when marking spots.
