I am not sure what year my citica is but id say its about 5-6 years old. The issue I am having is even with the tension knob screwed all the way in no matter how you hard you throw it, the spool just goes like there is no tension at all. Which of course is a huge backlash everytime. I've brought it and had it repaired multiple times and it will work great for a while then start again. Anybody know what may be causing this? Also my brakes are set three up and three down but even if you move all of them up it makes no difference.

Time for new spool shims.  You can order them direct from Shimano, if you call support.

Sounds like a spool ship or two is either missing or has a divot worn in it. Just replace them (on on each end of the spool by the bearing).

You can also try flipping the one under the spool tension cap. That would be the easiest fix, while you wait for the new one to come in the mail.  I think they're around $2.

Sounds like you need spool tension spacers for your cast control cap. Your current ones are either worn or missing. They are about $.99 a piece online.
