Culprit Fat Max Worms?

Anyone use these worms. I was looking at them and thinking of trying some. I have never used them, and don't know anyone who has. I am wondering if they are good producers? What size hook are you using with the 6" worm? Thanks for any help.

Love the culprit Fat Max. If I'm throwing a worm, its ALWAYS a Culprit, and usually a Fat Max. A top producer for me during the summer. I throw them on a 4/0 Gamakatsu EWG.

I use the 7" version a lot with a 3/0 or a 4/0 hook. Good producer for numbers of 14" - 17" largemouth. Have never tried the 6" but I have used the 9" (which is a whole lotta plastic) when hunting for bigs.

Thanks guys. Any color recommendations? Other than the basic Green Pumpkin, and Black Blue. Some of the color combo's look good.

I like the Junebug, seems to work for me in both off color water and also in an extremely clear reservoir I fish.

I love all the Culprit soft baits and love their color schemes. They Make a Pumpkinseed color that is highly translucent and different than other companies versions that has always been very effective for me and I always carry some. The Fat Max was designed for pitching and flipping into cover so the tail would not get hung up like on a Standard Ribbon tail and it does get through heavy weeds very well. It is a great worm since it is dense, comes in perfect sizes, and can be pitched on a heavy weight or fished weightless. 

I like to use the shorter version 6" most of the time, and I have not really played with the bigger sizes much. I find I use the Crawdad color and Junebug the most....but I also like Okee Craw, and they make a gold color that is new which I have not tried but it looks like a winner.

I have always felt that the Culprit Ribbon Tail worms are the standard for swimming worms, and the Fat Max is a great worm since Bass under heavy weeds see endless creatures and craws all day long. You can get a Fat max worm to penetrate weeds easily when the regular ribbon tail would be getting stuck over and over...Can't go wrong since they are also great at holding your hook in one spot which is important. I hate adjusting my hook after every few casts, and you can skip the fat max really well also....Another benefit.

I like it, the tail looks more like a grub curly tail than ribbon tail if that makes any sense. I love the color schemes esp fire and ice in the original size. I've been looking for a worm that has the same swimming motion as the havoc juice worm but most don't compare. The culprit worms I have a lot of confidence in though.

Nine inch Okeechobee is one of the first two big worms I reach for.  (Other is a ten inch SK Rage Tail Anaconda in red shad.)

I've got some six inch Fat Max, but I haven't caught enough (or, really, fished them enough) to be excited about them.  My wife did catch her PB (6.3) on six inch Okeechobee Fat Max, so she's a big fan.

I have some.  I don't tx rig all that much.   I've tried them on jika rigs with mixed results.   I think that there are better jika rig baits out there.

For me, Culprit Fat Max worms haven't been banished from the boat bag yet, but they aren't a first or second  or third choice either.    For me, they are in that large pile of baits that I bought because it seemed like a good idea at the time, but over the, results are not so much.

The reason I don't fish them is because I have LOTS of different options.

love em.  tho ive mostly used the regular Culprit worm.  they make fantastic colors- always have good success with black shad and red shad.

I fish worms a lot. I T-Rig 95% of the time. I prefer the grape or black grape Mann's Jelly Worms 9" and 12" over any other but I do keep some of their T-Rex Worms around.

They make some nice worms just not my favorite. I just don't see that tail not wrapping up in stuff. But I haven't used it so I can't say from hands on experience it will.

The 9" junebug Fat  Max is a big bass catcher. I don't catch a lot with it, but they're usually quality fish.
