Super User Jrob78 Posted May 4, 2016 Super User Posted May 4, 2016 I wasn't a big fan of any of the previous Antares/Calais, cosmetically speaking, but this one is sweet!! 2 Quote

Maico1 Posted May 4, 2016 Author Posted May 4, 2016 The flat knurled screw under the DC is your new "spool tension adjustment". They have eliminated the conventional spool tension knob and replaced it with this . It was a little stiff at first but after I used a screwdriver it loosened and can be adjusted with your fingers. 7 Quote

Maico1 Posted May 4, 2016 Author Posted May 4, 2016 The Kyasukon to the inside of the side cover In the DC brake optimal brake curve has been built, you would hardly feel the need to use the Kyasukon in the usual scene. By the reverse tightening the mechanical brake knob, it may even risk that the optimum brake would change to excessive brake. From the desire to want to use in an optimum state to anglers in 16ANTARES DC, it was to move the mechanical brake knob to the internal side plate. 1 Quote

By far my favorite upgrade on a reel. A little pricey, but well worth it in my opinion. Makes for a nice customization of each reel and they are solid. Ever since I tried my first, I have been steadily upgrading each reel I have plus always budgeting in the extra for each new reel I buy. Robert and Mike have done a wonderful job with their creations and have always taken good care of me- even when I had a small problem a while back- it was taken care of and then some very quickly!
