It's just a marketing term they choose to use.  I assume the HM is a high modulus reference. Graphite modulus , scrim, resin , mandrels, diameters, wall thickness all are factors that make a blank what it is and I'm probably forgetting something .  Look for feedback from someone that uses that Rod.

Them rods go on sale often for $69... They are made by dawia.. Hard rod to beat in the 100 dollar catagorey.. Super lite and the Winn grips are awesome..

I have the jig/worm model.

Very nice Rod and I did get mine on sale a couple years ago. Well worth it even at regular price IMO.

They are fairly light and sensitive and the Winn grips are my favorite.

I'm not a 100 percent positive but that is what the manager at cabelas told me.. He also showed me the tournament Zx baitcaster and it has the dawia "D" on it and I think says dawia some where's on it ... I just won't try that reel because I'm a lews die hard but I do like the Rods

It doesn'the mean nothing important, rod blanks are a composite, another words, made from many different materials, they are allowed to highlight any part of that composite structure they like in advertising. HM64 could also mean just about anything, just like a shampoo or whatever commercial, they rely on your imagination to fill in the info, real or imagined.

By law they could have one strand of HM64, whatever it is, in the blank and still be completely truthful and legal in the composite structure of a blank.
