Post spawn pond bass

What is yalls favorite post spawn bass fishing lure in ponds? I'm curious to see if the answer is different than it would be in a lake

I caught two on about a 3 acre pond today using Z Man chatter baits. The first one was a craw color and just for the heck of it, I went to the other end of the spectrum and caught number two on a white and chartreuse. I also threw CB, spinners, and even tossed a frog on some pads just to say I did.  The chatter baits were the only thing that worked so as of today, they are my favs.  

On a side note, it was interesting to see the bass had left the neighborhood and now the sunfish were taking over the shallow water.  Just kind of a cool nature thing.

I fish small bodies of water...a little bigger than most ponds...but i like to topwater anywhere you find the fry...either fish are guarding or trying to eat them

Never had any luck throwing chatter baits. My favorite all around pond lure would be a Texas rigged soft plastic of any kind or a football jig. Top water works well with smaller fish but never caught any big ones on anything top water. Just curious to see if crankbaits would work well in ponds

I like throwing stick baits any color any size. every kind I have through  has caught at least 1 fish over 16 IN even some 2 dollar stick baits I got at a antique store (the baits where not antique) caught bass

for the pond I fish bass after spawn cant help them selves to stick baits it is nothing to catch 5-8 fish each weighing around 0.5 lbs to 3.5-4 lbs in 30 minuets also I usually also fish for pan fish and the big large mouth cant resits a medium leech on a plain hook split shot and bobber if the conditions are right even with 3 pan fish rods with night crawlers and 1 with a leech and 1 stick bait the leech and stick bait catch more bass then the  3 night crawler catch bluegills.

Reid, I almost always toss a CB all year around so yes, the work well in ponds. Just a matter of getting the depth right and occasionally fighting the grass. I love the KVD 1.5 in sexy shad.

I've fished ponds most of my life, ive always been able to catch em on the old crankbait. Even casting through grass the bass will still hit it.

It's kind of the opposite for me. A black and blue chatterbait with a blue craw trailer has been a consistent producer for me. But a football jig or any non-bladed jig rarely produces in our small lagoons. That's probably because our lagoons have "fuzzy" bottoms with lots of thick aquatic algae, so dragging anything along the bottom probably makes it harder for the fish to find the bait. Lift and drop is the preferred method here, but even then I don't catch much on jigs.

 

Lipless cranks work well in my area. But since most of our lagoons are almost all man made stormwater lagoons and only 6 feet deep (and they get hung up in the bottom algae rather than bounce of the bottom) I only fish the occasional shallow diving squarebill.

Absolutely! Throw a lipless crank on shallow windblown points. That’s a fun bite to get on.

Post-spawn: This year shallow cranks/wakebaits like the Baby One-Minus (see pic from last night). White grubs are always a staple post spawn

 

Last year- White chatterbait with a Fluke Jr (white ice)trailer.
