Should I choose the six inch savage gear line thru trout, the eight inch size, or the five inch savage 3d bluegill?  I will mostly be fishing these in clear water (eight to twelve foot vis.) but occasionally muddy water also.  The main forage is bluegill.  Keep in mind I love in indiana, so I can't exactly expect twelve pound bass.  My rod is only rated to 1 1/4 ounces, so I don't know how far above that I should go.

I have the 6 inch line thru trout in hitch. It's freaking AMAZING. Buddy was slinging the bluegill the other day and it looked amazing. I'll be getting one of those soon.

6" Line Thru will be your best bet without needed heavier equipment.

Do you guys think the trout would work for bass feeding on bluegill?

That's most of what our bass eat but they still eat the trout.

As blue has told me "they don't know what they are eating, they just know it will fit in their mouth and is probably tasty". Lol
