crankbait2009 Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Let's try this. I know what I want, just not sure what I need. I have an Ascend FS128T kayak. On the kayak, there are two accessory rails, one on each side of the seat, mounted on top of the kayak. I am looking for a rod holder that slides on to this rail. But I am not sure what parts I need in order to acheive this. I saw this holder online which is exactly what I want. It holds a spinning reel or baitcaster. BUt I am not sure what all parts are needed to mount it in to these rails. Can anyone provide some assistance on this? Here is what I am after: http://www.scotty.com/fishing-gear-equipment/rod-holders/bait-caster-spinning-rod-holder.htm Quote
Gary51m Posted May 2, 2016 Posted May 2, 2016 Go to amazon and put in Scotty head gear track adaptor. I put fm175 yakattack rail mounts on my boat because I have a flat gunwale with no round gunwales to mount a rod holder to. I bought 4 of these. Hope this helps. Quote
FATYAKKER Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 I will attach this link http://www.rammount.com/part/RAP-B-354U-TRA1. It will take you to the ram mount website. They make a ball that will slide into the track and from there you can add this rod holder http://www.rammount.com/part/RAM-117U. Ram makes all kind of accessories that slide into that track to hold a cell phone, fish finder, tranducer arm, etc. For the most part Ram is the best around right now. They are pricey but make a nice product. Quote
