BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted April 30, 2016 BassResource.com Administrator Posted April 30, 2016 Hey guys, looks like we can't fish Lake Washington or Sammamish effective May 1st until further notice. ALL fishing has been suspended. http://wdfw.wa.gov/news/apr2916a/ Quote
smallies24/7 Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Un freaking believable. Cant fish my home lake now. These idiots better get it figured out, quickly. Quote
Super User iceintheveins Posted April 30, 2016 Super User Posted April 30, 2016 Due to Salmon? Man I'm tired of fishery managers having the power to rule by decree. Our republic was not meant for unelected bureaucrats to rule like kings. Quote
2tall79 Posted May 1, 2016 Posted May 1, 2016 You can help by sending an email to every one involved in this from the Governor to NOAA and all your senators and representatives. Please go to the Puget Sound Anglers site at the link below and follow the simple instructions. They will automatically generate and send an email to all these people for you. Thank you for supporting our effort. We appreciate your interest and hope that you will consider helping us again in the future. You have communicated with the following people: Senator Patty Murray (email) Senator Maria Cantwell (email) Representative Derek Kilmer (email) Governor Jay Inslee (email) Regional Administrator Will Stelle (email) Assistant Regional Admini Bob Turner (email) It just takes a couple of minutes and will help notify all the political idiots involved and let them know that we are concerned and want action taken.https://www.votervoice.net/PSA/campaigns/46262/respond Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted May 1, 2016 Author BassResource.com Administrator Posted May 1, 2016 You know, if they're sooooo concerned about "saving" the salmon (while at the same time, touting record catch rates every year!), why don't they simply ban all salmon fishing? Problem solved. 2 Quote
Super User iceintheveins Posted May 1, 2016 Super User Posted May 1, 2016 Also, why don't they mention all the toxic medication metabolites that flow back into Puget Sound via treated sewage. Seattle. Tacoma, Portland, and San Fran Sicko close of portions off publically owned watersheds to all access, even though 98% of all municipal watersheds allow fishing and boating across the country. Yet for some reason, toxin laden treated sewage is okay to dump back into the same rivers. From a scientific standpoint it makes zero sense. It's time to take back what is ours and pass laws to strip these local, state, and federal agencies of the power to rule by decree. Our founding fathers are rolling over in their graves. Quote
