Robert Riley Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 Do you guys use a fast or extra fast? Secondary question, what length rod do y'all use? Quote
Super User J Francho Posted April 28, 2016 Super User Posted April 28, 2016 I use a 7'3" Heavy/Fast jig rod. I'll step up to a flipping stick if the cover is really heavy. I don't feel like taper matters, unless you're more concerned with casting than catching. That's where I think most frog rods fall short. They may cast a frog a mile, fish it with pretty precision, but aren't capable of pulling a toad out of the slop. Quote
d-camarena Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 I use a falcon bucoo heavy moderate fast. Its right in between a fast and a moderate. Give it just enough action to cast frogs a mile. And just enogh bbackbone to pull out the biggins Quote
Super User QUAKEnSHAKE Posted April 29, 2016 Super User Posted April 29, 2016 I have a Fenwick Wold Class rod 7'6" Medium Heavy Fast that I use to toss frogs. Quote
