I choose the Pad Crasher because it's cheaper and every bit as good as the Spro. It's a softer body which equals better hookups (not that the Spro's are bad either). I live up in the land of the toothy critters though and I've caught hundreds of fish on both, but I've had some that get shredded on the first hit when a norther or muskie attack it. They just aren't built to handle that. Given that the action, durability, catch rates are almost the same, the cheaper one is the better value.

I'm pro-spro all the way.  Pad crashers are fine.  They both catch fish.  I think the spros walk better, have better hooks, and are a bit more durable.

CANNOT go wrong with either of them in my opinion.  they're the only 2 brands of frogs i own.

This question is sort of like asking if big boobs are better than small boobs. Either way they're still boobs

I'm going to try frog fishing for the first time ever. And in my search for the "Best Frog", Spro and the Pad crasher came up on reviews over and over again as being couple of the best....so I bought 1 of each to try out. We'll see how it goes.

I think you are on the wrong forum, this is a fishing forum. Nevertheless, I will have to respectively disagree with your statement even though technically you are correct. We wouldn't have sayings in our society of "Bigger is better" or "Go Big or go home", if bigger wasn't truly better. You never hear anyone saying "Go little or go home", ever. Sorry, off topic, but couldn't resist.

I was try to say more along the lines that you can't go wrong with either one of those frogs

Oh, I know you did. That's why I bought both.

I prefer spro.. In my experience they are more Durable.. I can't say it's  because I caught more fish on a spro... The reason I caught more on spro because I throw it a ton more ..

I prefer booth because of the softness and better hookups walks very well. BUT! It's also lighter. In matts it doesn't lay indented in the mat but lays on top. Really the only negative. Just add 4 or 5 steel bb's for weight.

I have fished both and I prefer the Pad Crasher over the Spro.

I like the harder body of the Spro especially in heavy weeds, but they are both really good. I also like the action of the Spro a bit better, but you can't go wrong with either...Both are good frogs and for the price the Pad Crusher is tough to beat since they are often on sale for under $5...both are good, I would say they are different, but neither is better. It all depends on what you prefer.

But Big Boobs are BIG BOOBS.

I have both and I like the Pad Crasher so much I bought the popping and junior versions. It may just be a confidence thing because when I first tried the SPRO, I didn't have the best setup for it. It seemed all I did was get bites and never land them. I landed the first bite on the PC.

Both are great, Pad Crasher is cheaper so I give it the nod.

On a related note, I have caught tons of bass on the live target frog but I won't buy another because they are 2-3 times more expensive than the pad crasher and I can't tell you that the live target is any more effective.

I like both, the pad crasher walks a bit easier and doesn't fill with water as bad since it has a drain hole in the back. But I say have both because Spro has some colors the pad crasher doesn't. Really for frogs, all you need is a natural frog color, a bluegill type color, a white, and a black.

The spro is more durable though, but I can't say it has a worse hookup rate than the Pad Crasher.

I have both. I have definitely given the spro less time on the water but they are much more durable than the pad crashers. Although I must say I actually prefer the pad crashers I think. I always seem to have a better hook up ratio with them since they are made out of a thinner/softer material and compress easier. I have a slight tear in mine near the nose but it still works fine. I think you will be fine with either. The spro will probably last you longer but they also cost more so you just have to decide whether it's worth it to you to pay the premium for the longevity.

Spro is more durable, but the Pad Crasher catches more fish and are cheaper.

My regular frogs are Spro and my popping frogs are Pad Crasher. Can't go wrong with either.

I like both.  I've leaned toward the Spro this year for durability, but a couple run ins with toothy critters and snapping turtles has me thinking about the pad crasher.

My 2 cents is the Spro will last longer (catching bass) but if you want to save a few bucks the Booyah is the best bang for the buck.

Take money out of it and the Spro poppin frog is my favorite.  Not sure if anyone can chime in on the poppin pad crasher?

For the price, I like the pad crasher.  I've caught more on it than any other.
