Caught my personal best 5.5 pound smallmouth on Lk St Clair today. Anytime you can get out during the work week is special and catching my PB is the icing on the cake. It's still cold out there wore multiple layers all day long and water temps are 52 to 56 degrees.

The smallies usually have some nice markings but the water is pretty dirty right now so they get "pale" in the stained water.

That's a tank! We were on LSC on Sunday and caught a few chunkers. I'm trying to get out on a weekday to avoid the weekend traffic. Jerkbaits with a feathered treble seemed to be the ticket.

That may be but she is still a nice looking fish.  With the girth she has, she doesn't need any exquisite markings.  Very nice Fish!
