Im getting a new baitcaster and have narrowed my choices down to either the Shimano Caenan or the Lews Speed Spool LFS. Both are at the $100 price point but which one should I get?

Thanks!

Personally I'd take the aluminum framed LFS over the graphite framed Caenan.  Check out the review of the Caenan on TackleTour and the LFS review on ***.   About $109 will get you the Lew's Tournament MB from fleabay.

Thanks guys... What about the Casitas, what is it made of?

Graphite or composite.  Couldn't find a description of its frame.  Were it aluminum, Shimano would be mentioning it in their advertising.

Between those two I would go with the LFS. But if it were me I would go with a new citica I . If you shop around you can find them for around $100

Dollar fer dollar I would pick any Lew's model over the same priced Snimano. I switched from Curado Castics Cronarch's and  Core over to Lew's from BB1 and Super Duty to Team Gold's and Gold Team,, couldn't be happier with the change,,, so naturally I would get the LFS

Also would choose the Lew's LFS. Tried and tested, great performance overall for a very good price.

I'm a Lew's fan as well. So yeah Lews Speed Spool LFS all day.

Watch the Flea Market here. Tonight I just bought a lightly used Lews Speed Spool Tournament for $74 at my door. There are good reels on there fairly often.
