LouisGambo Posted April 27, 2016 Posted April 27, 2016 New to this forum. I am looking to rebuild a 12ft Polar Kraft Jon boat. It is is a flat bottom boat and I am wondering if anyone has removed the bench seats to lay down flooring and pedistal seats. I want to know if that is a difficult process and what it requires. Any help is appreciated. Thanks. Quote
FATYAKKER Posted April 27, 2016 Posted April 27, 2016 If you search the forums you can find people who have done just that. I was interested in doing that awhile back and found plenty of information on here. Also there is another website tinboats.net I believe that has a lot of information also. Good Luck and post pictures of before and after. Quote
Evan K Posted April 27, 2016 Posted April 27, 2016 I've always heard (and it makes sense to me) that you don't want to remove the benches because they are an important structural part of the boat, holding the sides together. Without them the boat flexes too much and rivets start leaking. Quote
