Does anybody know if the smallmouth have started in Presque Isle bay yet?  It is kind of a long trip for me to come up there and trying to figure out the best time to make the trip.   Awesome fishing there if you catch it right.  Thanks for any info.

Yes they have started to come in. The weekend of the 7th should be the best weekend to be there if you like crowds. This weekend should be good but maybe not as many fish and boats.

When would be the best time to come up and catch a ton? I went last year around the 20th of june and caught a ton the first day but struggled the last 2 days

Nice work.

What was the water temp in the bay, if you don't mind me asking?

If anyone is planning to get out in PIB or fishes the bay let me know. I have my boat down here (just moved to the area 10 min off the water) and would love to get a better handle on the fishing, I would have no problem bringing fellow BR members out as I don't know anyone in the area.

Brad,

I will send you a pm with my contact info. I have a camp near there and fish it all year. I can point you in the right direction.
