IndianaFinesse Posted April 25, 2016 Posted April 25, 2016 I have never tried these before, but thought they would be awesome as a jig trailer cause there claws stand straight up. Has anyone had any experience with the turbo crawz as a jig trailer and what color do you prefer? I was guessing green pumpkin (always a good choice) or green pumpkin orange belly would be good. Wbeadlescomb Posted April 25, 2016 Posted April 25, 2016 I've always meant to try them buy never have. I've caught thousands if not tens of thousands of fish on ultravibe speedcraws and they look very similiar. Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted April 25, 2016 Global Moderator Posted April 25, 2016 They're great on a jig or bladed jig. Good on a swinging football head too. 1 Quote
wv1755 Posted April 25, 2016 Posted April 25, 2016 They have become my go to bait this year. Texas rigged. Awesome bait! 1 Quote
Wbeadlescomb Posted April 25, 2016 Posted April 25, 2016 My main reason for not using elaztech baits is that jj's will dissolve them and that's a no go for me Quote

Most of the crawfish in the lake I fish in are dark green/brown with an orange belly and the tips of there claws are also orange, so I was thinking maybe green pumpkin orange? Quote

I like green pumpkin, bama bug, black and blue, and watermelon red but if you think green pumpkin orange will work it most likely will. 1 Quote
Super User Gundog Posted April 25, 2016 Super User Posted April 25, 2016 As far as color, most of the soft plastics I throw have some sort of flake in them. Red, blue or black flake is my favorite. I've found that any soft plastic with flake in it breaks up the color and makes it look more natural. No fish or crawfish is one color only. 1 Quote
ErikmonBillsfon Posted April 26, 2016 Posted April 26, 2016 Just got some and some of the craw are bent over like they were folded in the bag. I'm asumeing that I can boil them for like 10 seconds and reshape them so they're straight again. probably not as long as you would normal plastic like zoom. I got June bug and Bama bug and both colors look great. Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted April 26, 2016 Global Moderator Posted April 26, 2016 Just leave them out of the bag on the counter or something for awhile, mine have always reshaped themselves. I don't know how they'd react to boiling since they're already so soft. Quote
