Danny Ripley Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 I currently go to school in Boston and trying to find a small pond or something I can bass fish from the shore. I don't have too much time left in school but the weather has been pretty great lately so I thought I'd give it a shot around here. Any help is appreciated! Quote
John LaBelle Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 Have you checked the state website? Lots of good info on it. Are you close to Arlington, try Spy Pond. http://www.mass.gov/eea/agencies/dfg/dfw/hunting-fishing-wildlife-watching/fishing/ Quote
nhbassin Posted April 25, 2016 Posted April 25, 2016 The Brookline Reservoir and Crystal Lake in Newton were my personal favorites if you are in the BC/BU/Northeastern area. If your north of the city there are a ton of places to try around Medford and Stoneham Quote
"hamma" Posted April 25, 2016 Posted April 25, 2016 The Charles River has awesome bass in it,..you can catch bass over by the Hatch Shell on the esplenaude.(sp?). I never fished it but i've been told that jamaica pond has bass in it as well. Quote
Cyacnba Posted April 25, 2016 Posted April 25, 2016 Right now, the Charles River Esplanade (storrow lagoons) is your best bet. I've been catching quality bass every time I went there for the past 5 days. JP is great during the Summer from my experience, and the Brookline Reservoir has quality bass, but you have to work hard for it. Even the Fenway Fens (Muddy River) has decent bass during the Summer.
