Super User 00 mod Posted April 21, 2016 Super User Posted April 21, 2016 Skipped work today to get out on the water. First couple hours it rained on us, but then cleared off pretty good. We caught 16 in all but only 1 picture fish! All were caught on a rage rigged Rage Tail Structure Bug or a BPS speed shad. Jeff 11 Quote
IndianaFinesse Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 Nice fish! They say a bad day of fishing is better than a good day at work, and that was a good day of fishing. 1 Quote

Super User Darren. Posted April 21, 2016 Super User Posted April 21, 2016 Good stuff, Jeff. I got out, too. Wind was a bear, but I hit a grove of cypress trees. Caught my bass of the year (most likely) but had forgotten to adjust my drag from tighter (with a 15lb leader) to looser for my current 6lb leader). As soon as the beast saw me, broke the water, she dived and hit turbo and my line went "SNAP".... Stupid mistake, but at least I caught two dinks to prevent a skunk. 1 Quote
Super User Dwight Hottle Posted April 21, 2016 Super User Posted April 21, 2016 Well at least you skipped work for a good reason. 2 Quote

Was a perfect spot in the "calm" of the wind swept water. Alas, she wasn't interested anymore. I *may* go back out tomorrow, but we have t-boomers forecast. And by fish of the year, I mean *so far*... As every year, I plan to best my PB! 1 Quote
