ibobpeb Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 Does anyone have this rod and can give honest feedback? I am looking for a bottom contact light jighead + curly tail/minnow/fluke/grub/tube trailer. The jighead will mostly be 1/8th oz and trailers are mostly 2 inches long. 7 to 8 pound flourocarbon on a Shimano Aldebaran. I've read that the 610ml Zodias feels more like a M than a ML. Is that true? I wonder how it compares to the Phenix Recon 6'8 ML and O/\/\3N Black ML. Quote
Bologna2202 Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 I have a 6'10" Zodias ML and although it isn't quite a medium power, it's close, and it would be perfect for the uses you are talking about. If you have anymore questions, I'd be glad to answer. 1 Quote

d-camarena Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 Thats a perfect rod for those applications, the fluke and the ned rig are what it excells at. I have 4 zodias, light, medium light, medium and medium heavy. I can definetly tell a difference between ml and m. The ml is my favorite of all 4 1 Quote
Tony Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 I too am interested in the Zodias 610ML. How does it load with 1/8oz total weight? Quote
ibobpeb Posted April 22, 2016 Author Posted April 22, 2016 Do you guys mind taking a picture of the balance point with a reel on? Quote
mrpao Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 The rod is actually only rated down to 3/16 oz. I have mine with a Core 50. I have thrown small Texas rigs with it. 1/8 weight and skinny 6" worm. The casting seems to be pretty precise with this rod. Quote
d-camarena Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 Ill try to get a pic in a little bit. Its paired to a ci4+ so it balances perfect Quote
Cyacnba Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 I have this rod paired with the Aldebaran 51HG. I will try to get a picture of the balance if I go fishing later today. Quote
Cyacnba Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 It balances right where the hook keeper is. It was hard to balance it with my finger 3 Quote
