Go on YouTube and find the one that scott martin made. It was how I learned to do it. What bait are you using?

Add a split ring to the line tie. There are plenty of videos out for walking a spook. You will be pro in no time. But you have practice alot. Goodluck!!

Oh yeah and use a non slip loop knot it makes walking the dog a lot easier

I think the lucky craft Sammy is the easiest to walk, but the super spook ain't hard.

anyone remember the old wooden spooks?

The Rapala Original Floater has a lip, which means you won't be able to walk the dog with it. That is probably 99% of your problem. The easiest baits I have found to walk are the Rebel Jumpin' Minnow and the Rapala Skitter Walk. One other thing: make sure there is some slack in your line when you jerk your rod!

GYCB Tate pencil is easy to walk too. Definitely start with a spook-type bait and work your way up from there

That may be my problem right there.
