Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted April 20, 2016 Global Moderator Posted April 20, 2016 I DVR MLF, Zona's Awesome Fishing Show, Bassmaster, and FLW. I haven't watched a show regularly for a few years now, unless you count the countless hours of Paw Patrol, Blaze and the Monster Machines, Umizoomie, or whatever else my son wants to watch. I could quote you some episodes of those shows line by line probably. 1 Quote

fishstick Posted April 20, 2016 Posted April 20, 2016 None. We cancelled Directv last September. Can't pick up any antenna channels. Realized we were all watching way too much tv. Now, 7 months later, we really don't miss it much at all. Plus, I have about $85-$90 more per month to buy fishing stuff and get out and do stuff with the family. Also, more time to get chores done around the house, so I have more time to fish. We pick a few used family movies for cheap and watch those when we do watch something. It took about a week to adjust. Anyone who has been thinking about it, I highly recommend it. I don't see us ever getting sattelite/cable again. Not once has my daughter said "hey dad, you remember that tv show we watched that one time?" But, she will recall fish she has caught and camping trips we have been on all the time. I want to make more memories for her like those. This is one of the main reasons we made the decision. This is not intended to be a rant or anything. Just my two cents on the subject. 4 Quote

River Dave Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 Deadliest Catch Dangerous Waters Distant Shores Definitely in a rut with nautical themed shows that start with "D" but I also watch a lot of DIY network and love all the yard makeover type shows. My wife and I are also watching "The 80's" series on CNN (now that "The 70's" ended). Only decent fishing shows I still get are Babe Winkleman and Keyes Outdoors so I watch those sometimes. Quote

Last time they did that I cancelled my phone service with them. Didn't really need a land line anyway. Now I'm thinking about switching my cable internet to DSL just to punish the greedy youknowwhats. But I need my tv cause with 5 months of cold weather I think I would go stir crazy without it. Quote
Super User Choporoz Posted May 2, 2016 Super User Posted May 2, 2016 Best stuff we watch isn't on the big networks Turn - AMC The Americans - FX House of Cards, Detectorists - Netflix Detectorists is the real sleeper -- one of best comedies I've seen Quote
Super User Gundog Posted May 2, 2016 Super User Posted May 2, 2016 Anybody else watch Letterkenny, the Canadian comedy. I found it on youtube and think its the funniest thing on tv since seinfeld. Quote
