JigMaster4 Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 Hi I was wondering if anyone has used or heard anything about the Lews David Fritts Perfect Crank Speed Stick medium/moderate as I am interested in buying one, I will be using it for squarebills and lipless cranks. I'm also looking into the no.8 tackle blackout medium/fast rod for this too. any other suggestions are welcome, Thanks! Quote
Super User smalljaw67 Posted April 18, 2016 Super User Posted April 18, 2016 It is a no frills rod, it will do the job you want it to do and it will do it well. It is a composite rod, that is a glass/graphite mix so it will be a little heavier than a graphite rod but lighter than a full glass rod. I have a friend who is into high end rods and for cranking he uses that very same Lews David Fritts perfect crank speed stick and he likes it enough that he has 2 of them and one if for square bills and the other for deep cranking so I imagine it is decent. robster80 Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 heard good things about the david fritts rods. heres another option - powell diesel 705cb. been my go to rod for the past couple weeks im really liking this thing. Quote
Crankin4Bass Posted April 20, 2016 Posted April 20, 2016 I ordered one from Dick's and returned it. They only had the 6'6" in M/M left but it was 50% off so I figured what the heck. I found it to be very stiff and a little on the heavy side. Quote
CarolinaBoy4Life Posted April 20, 2016 Posted April 20, 2016 Have no experience with it but I do the new BPS micro guide crankin stick. Great rod and is one sale right now Quote
