I've been to this lake 3 times now and I'm not getting anything. I fished for crappie and bass, I see post on Facebook of others catching multiple crappie what gives?

Haven't been out on the lake yet.  Still getting my boat together.  I doubt I'll get out on any water till mid-May.  Crappie was all I caught up thru Christmas Eve.  For me, bass have always been tough to catch at CC.

I used minnows last year when I went. This Sunday I used crappie jigs, not sure if I'm in the wrong coves or what.

If you can, this early head too the Dam and fish for Smallies. Drop shots and small spoons or anything else you think you can get them too bite. Do this and you will beat your PB, some of those smallies are tanks.

Where about is this? I'm in Ohio for 6 weeks on business and been wanting to fish I'm down in blue ash. I just got permission to fish the private lake at the job site that the county record bass was caught out of.

Caesar Creek is north of Cincinnati.  Easiest way to get to the main park is to take I-71 north to exit 45 (Hwy 73).  Turn left and go thru Harveysburg (watch the speed limit...there is always a speed trap).  Cross the bridge and the park is on the right.  Getting to the dam area is a bit more entailed but it is south of the bridge.  There is also a campground on the north end of the lake.

Funny you mention speed traps cuz y'all fly down here I take 275 back and forth to work and the hotel I'll do 80mph and people fly by me like I'm standing still.

Harverysburg is a no-stop light, one cop kinda town with a 4-lane running passed it.  It is a truck route and there is always a local cop or sheriff sitting on the east side of town near the entrance to the Renaissance Fair.  Same thing with Waynesville to the west.

275, 75 and 71 are multi-lane dragstrips most of the time ('cept rush hour then they are s-l-o-w).

A friend passed on this tidbit of info:

Some of his coworkers have been catching the snot out of crappie up at the northern campground.  Not sure what they were using, though.  There were HUGE schools of them offshore late-fall last year (right before Christmas) that i found with my graphs.

Latest gossip on the crappie catch is using jigs 8' below a bobber in 15' of water. Wax worms are working as well.
