my local tackle shop has a LOT of older bandit crankbaits still in stock. older packaging. discontinued colors. doesnt say where its made just says "bandit lures" on the back and the "mustad triple grip" logo on front.  are these the US made ones or mexico?.  are these better lures than the newer china made ones?. should i go on and stock up while i can ?

I have fished both, mostly the newer ones and can't really say that I could tell a difference catch rate wise. They have all caught fish, if anything I have a really early chrome one with the mustad hooks and the finish is pretty sketchy. If they are a good price though I would snag them, I just picked up, 24 more from Cabela's for 3 bucks a bait.

Far and away my best crankbait. The 100 is perfect for fishing rivers with heavy current has a really subtle action on lakes. The Flat maxx is a really good bait too if you want to try out more bandit baits.

I used Bandits back in the 80's and 90's and I still use them. I can't tell much difference, if any, in them.
