Robert Riley Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 I'm looking at grabbing a frog rod, any recommendations about a Falcon? I'm cool with either a Cara or a Lowrider. I'm also interested in the Champion 735, so that's in need of comparison as well. Thanks! Quote
tander Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 I have an Original Falcon Carolina Lizard Dragger. I use it for Carolina rigging and frogging. Plan on getting a Lowrider in the same model hoping it will be a tad lighter. I do know that Falcon also makes a Jason Christie Frog rod in a 6'11" model. 2 Quote
fishindad Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 I don't own one but I know Falcon has a Jason Christie frog rod in the Cara line. I think it's 6'11" same action as the Amistad stick. I've read lots of guys who use the Amistad for frogs also. Oops: sorry didn't see Tander's reply. Quote
Poolshark Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Amistad. I used it for a few years and loved it. Quote

Yeah, I have a Lowrider Lizard Dragger and its one of my favorite rods for a lot more than just draggin' Lizards! Although it does excel at that. Perfect tip to bomb a C-Rig out there and plenty of backbone to set the hook with some line out. Quote
