$30 for a $700 unit?

It's from China... second red flag.

No feedback on seller, third red flag.

I can't imagine this is real, but doesn't paypal protect you if it isn't? I can't see how someone could benefit from trying to scam here.

Couldn't imagine that is correct.  If so, he seller accidentally listed the wrong price.  Just seems off to me!

No, but ebay buyer protection will take care of you when the seller ships you a box of rice. Could take a chance I suppose

I already feel less intelligent for taking a flyer on this... we'll see. If it's rice, I hope it's some darn good rice.

Only thing they've ever sold, and a bunch have already sold at this point. Seems calculated to me.

They do have a note that you have to ship the "item" back to them. I imagine shipping something back to China with "trace ability" is not an inexpensive endeavor. If it is a ripoff I wonder if they are counting on a percentage of purchasers to just give up on their $ 30.00 out of pocket and not ship anything back.

I noticed that and called ebay. They said if the item isn't as stated, the customer doesn't have to pay return shipping and ebay will refund you the cost of shipping and purchase price.

There's really no risk from what I can tell other than it being a pain in the butt when it in all probability isn't what's listed.

EDIT: The listing was just removed. That can't be good haha.

Absolutely correct. Also note that EBAY will return the money, so don't need to worry about the seller. Ebay will automatically take the money from them and give it to you. To be safe, when it arrives be sure to snap pics of the unopened box and then the contents. Or better yet, record it. Chances are you will receive dead weight (rocks, rice, etc) or the sonar box with an empty head unit in it (that's an iphone scam). Recording it all will speed up the process if they try and scam you.

Very true.

You don't really have anything to lose when buying on eBay. I've been ripped of before on some knock-off bulk Mustad treble hooks. eBay refunded my money as soon as I asked and sent them some pics, and I didn't even have to return the junk hooks. They went into the garbage. They were literally completely unsharpened. As dull as a paper clip. All 400 of them.

It was actually the second time I had been ripped off buying bulk trebles on eBay for real cheap.
