RyanDR Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 There is this pond I am trying to fish. Like the title says, pretty clear water. The bottom is mucky with lots of weeds and leaves. Also I'm up in MA and I'm not sure how cold the water is, but it's cold enough to go numb after a few minutes, although the air temp is improving. I was told there was a lot of fish. Im thinking of just throwing out a bobber and worm just to see what's in there. Any advice on how to approach this pond would be awesome! Quote

The trick is to have just the bottom of the hook ever so slightly touch the bottom every 2 feet. Or in clear water really erratic movements will trigger strikes once the water warms up a bit. Oh, and pull the goop up the line away from the lure, and straight down opposite the point of the hooks, dip the lure in the water, cast and repeat. Once you get used to it it takes 2 seconds.
