Well all my constant over time and what seems like impossible work loads has paid off.

My gf has been complaining for the last two years that I do all this for the company and get no return on it I've been passed over on promotions, lost wages, lied to, center of attention by haters and written up all while staying late and coming in early when asked to get certain projects out the door. All while getting 100% accuracy and quality ratings and hitting every deadline given.

Two weeks ago the owner said I have been doing so well on the hitachi/anseldo Breda cars with doing it 100% alone from the mold work, gel coating, machining, assembly, and shipping something that took 4 guys in the past 700hrs to complete and got stuff rejected constantly, I now do alone in under 200 hours and getting faster with each set with no rejects. We get paid to do it in 225 hours so for the first time in history of the project(4years) we are making money on it. Anyways he said I deserve the pay of 4 guys for doing 4 guys worth of work at the rate I do with the quality I do. Which I knew he was blowing smoke because he's not going to pay me that much.

Well then we took on another project that is crazy big and we're having issues meeting the requirements till I stepped in and added it to my already busy work load. With this project we need to train guys to go and install the parts... That's where things got interesting. The crew will travel making more money and benefits but at the cost of being away from home for 10 days to 6 weeks. Everyone jumped wanting it but it was quickly cut down with drug testing and just common sense on managements part. Pretty much I was the last man standing.

My my attention to detail, my quality of work, my work ethic just landed me a supervisor position the head guy the only guy the go to guy for this large multimillion dollar contract.

It was short notice but I walked in today at 6am and was grabbed by the GM and asked if I object to going to Cincinnati for 4-6 weeks to install the new waterpark going in at Coney Island. Great pay, rental car, hotel and food paid for. Only downside is being away that long without the chance to come home till done since its 6 day work week 10-12hr days.

The girl friend is a little upset the kids are used to it from me being in the guard. I leave tomorrow to make some serious money pay off some debt and get my savings built maybe a toy or two for myself also.

So if anyone is from the area im going to be bored when not working and want to fish and explore the area. I'll be there tomorrow till the park is complete.

First day down, the owner of the company we are working for loves me and the guy I brought. We caught on super quick and all our cuts and measurements were spot on. I got extremely sun burnt but it's all good. Working right on the river in Cincinnati. Thinking bout fishing the whole time.

Now to go have a few brews with the owner and his foreman.

Good luck. No amount of money is worth me not seeing my boy for 6 weeks. He is my everything and I just couldn't imagine it. The 5 days he spends at his Mom's is enough to drive me crazy.

Finally a day off after killing it at the job site. The whole thing is completely new to me but I've caught on quick. The owner and I have been talking and bouncing ideas off eachother. We ran into a hiccup yesterday and he couldn't figure it out for the the life of him he stood there looking trying to figure out why and how to fix it, I took a look had an idea showed him and bam fixed he was impressed. After that I got pulled off doing some of the manual labor and went and looked and prints and the lay out of everything and came up with a easier fool proof system different from what he's been using for the last 16 years.

Be careful, you may not be able to work if your arm gets too sore from patting yourself on the back :)

Just build whatever you want.

I just checked out there website. The place seems more like a county fair that stays in one place. I thought it was going to be something like Kings island.

Just kidding good luck on Elk Horn

Yeah we passed kings island on the way in. This place does seem a little fairish so to speak. It's mostly waterpark with a big concert hall off on the side. Either way I'm gettin a big pay raise for the training and talking about sending me to Brazil to do a park next year and one in Puerto Rico.  Not holding my breath on the out of country or the PR parks but I'm supposed to travel a few times a year to over see parks after I build them in the shop.

Do what you gotta do to support the family.

Gotta do it. Like I told my gf you want a successful man your gonna have a busy man. I've gone from just a fiberglass guy who came to learn something new to several job offers doing it full time, as of today I got left in charge of the whole operation which started a little rough with a temp no call no shows and the two Texans that supposed to know how it goes a little better then me were 3 hours late I got it all reigned in now. Making great time which has me a little worried that things are going to good if you know what I mean.

Talks of me possibly doing a giant project next year in ocean city or another in Virginia some where. The owner said he wants me a phone call away to be able to go lead some bigger projects.

Ill get some progress pics up later it's coming along nice.
