Skeeterman225 Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 I like throwing a chartruese shad crankbait, so figured why not try it on a spinnerbait. Played around with it a little and this is what I came up with. What do you guys think about it. Quote
Super User Grey Wolf Posted March 29, 2011 Super User Posted March 29, 2011 Excellant work !!!!!! Quote
Super User Jigfishn10 Posted March 29, 2011 Super User Posted March 29, 2011 I like it! I install the skirts on my spinnerbaits that way as well. Good job Skeeterman225. Quote
Bass Junkie Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 Love it! Great color combo, and you executed it perfectly Quote
Skeeterman225 Posted March 29, 2011 Author Posted March 29, 2011 Thanks for the replies everyone. I may not catch anything, on it, but I'm sure gonna give it a chance! Monte- I try to keep them all simple. Easier to keep them consistent that way and saves time. Thanks for the compliment Jigfish- I like my skirts that way. Eliminates the need for a trailer. Sometimes I prefer the even cut with a trailer though. The skirts do take better pictures with an even cut. When the top is short like that, the gap between the top flare and the bottom of the skirt kinda messes with the angles and reflections some. Quote
Super User Jigfishn10 Posted March 29, 2011 Super User Posted March 29, 2011 I just think that the overall profile of the bait looks a little more realistic...if you can get realistic with a SB. I'll use your description in the future though, it sounds a heck of a lot better than mine. Quote

Skeeterman225 Posted April 14, 2011 Author Posted April 14, 2011 Ya nailed it. Have you had any luck with this by any chance? Have used it on two different trips/lakes and have caught fish on it both times. So far looking good! Quote
jtrent Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 lime, pale blue (blue shad), white silver chrome, pearl, and chart. Where did you buy the skirt material from. Quote
Skeeterman225 Posted May 20, 2011 Author Posted May 20, 2011 Where did you buy the skirt material from. Most from fishing skirts. Think pearl is from Skirts plus Quote
Skeeterman225 Posted May 27, 2011 Author Posted May 27, 2011 Pm sent. Sorry just now saw your post. Quote
Skeeterman225 Posted June 3, 2011 Author Posted June 3, 2011 My first thought was citrus shad. Yes, that's what I meant...lol I was off somewhere else when I typed the title. Didn't realize it until later and just left it. IF I ever get a chance to update my website with the spinnerbaits, it will be listed as Citrus Shad. Quote
