Was wondering what brand and type of skirted jigs are your favorites for spotted bass , post spawn and in the dog days of summertime?

your opinions will be very much appreciated ?

The only one I throw is the war eagle heavy finesse jig. I keep one tied on at all times. You can find them around $5 for two

I use a bunch of different ones, but I probably use Strike King the most.  I tend to lose at least one jig each time I go fishing, and Strike Kings are fairly cheap.

I tie my own but I prefer the finesse style jigs or football jigs for spots. Usually going to be dragging a pretty heavy one in the middle of summer.

Site sponsor Siebert offers finesse jigs and nearly every other style and all work for spots, smallies and largemouth.

Spotted bass usually prefer crawdad colors in both oxblood and green colors with chartreuse highlites. Match the trailer to the predominate skirt colors and keep the trailer more compact or smaller in size. Weight depends on the depth you are fishing, 3/8 should be your most productive.

Cheap jigs almost always come with poor quality hooks....waste of more, time and effort.

I mainly throw Keitech jigs.. I got a bunch of free Jigs in the mail from a Japanese company called Jackson so I've been using those as well. Theyre pretty nice. I will also use GMoney because I won a bunch at a tournament and *** from time to time. I think you will get 100 thousand answeres here as there are so many jig manufacturers. Just look around on Tackle Warehouse and buy what looks good to you.

In the Ozark lakes in Missouri, Eakins jigs are popular.   Go into nearly any tackle shop in the region and they generally have locally made ones available at the counter.  In my experience, if I'm jig fishing for spots I think it is hard to go wrong with a 5/16 or 3/8 or 7/16  ball head jig with a brush guard and then thread a Chompers on it.

I like throwing Archy Head jigs made by Lanier Jigs and Sierbert Outdoors. Pair them up with a Craw type trailer and hold on...

Siebert outdoors makes great jig's with great designs and patterns. Also make a great spinnerbait! Got some strike kings, pond punk jigs, and Dirty jigs. Honestly like the pond punks jigs a lot, made by some guy in FL not sure if he is even making them anymore and Siebert jigs the best
