Wow, bluegills seems to be the hot color, yet it seems to be a color inside a color.

Look at the different "bluegills" that have been posted here

Just thought it was funny that the same pattern has so many variations.

I think it is because there are many species that are commonly grouped as "bluegills".   Lots of variation in nature, and even more in our interpretation of it.  :(

Bluegills look different in different places and lakes also. Plus you get female and male bluegills that look different and juvenile bluegills that also look different. Lots of room to be creative I guess  ;D.

Nice gills I bet those made quite a meal! bluegill have so many different colors and sizes we haven't even scratched the surface yet. :(

i added another one to the library  ;D

i went for the pale juvenile bluegill as opposed to bright flashy ones.
